My school has a long history and connection with the First World War. Many former pupils fought during the conflict and nineteen of them paid the ultimate sacrifice between 1915 and 1918.
Out of the nineteen, four are buried or remembered in the Middle East or Turkey. One is buried in the UK. The remaining fourteen are buried or remembered in Europe. Two of these I can not trace their resting places yet, and one is St Germain-Du-Mont which is over 300 miles from Ypres. This leaves eleven which I will trace and photo this week. The current Teachers and Pupils will be able to see the final resting places of former fellow students.
Here are details and pictures of eight former pupils. I will post the remaining three over the weekend.
